Finally, track and field season! Tuesday is our first day of practice. We'll all meet out at the PV track at 3:05. We need everyone to get the stuff listed below done, and we need to RECRUIT our friends and athletes in the school to build our numbers. Please take the time to do this stuff. We're very excited for our season. We've got a great coaching staff, a lot of awesome athletes on our team, and the opportunity to do some real cool things. It's going to be a fun year.
TEAM STORE IS UP - we are going to close the orders on Monday, Feb. 27th. Nothing is required from this store, it is all optional spirit pack gear for athletes, parents and friends!
A few things that we need to get done:
- Registermyathlete - you MUST have your registration done to come to "tryouts" (that means you have to get this done to start practice). Log in to your account (or make an account if you have not participated in a sport at Pine View) and go through all the documents, click everything, and sign everything.
- Physical - you MUST also have a physical from this current school year on file at PVHS. If you already have participated in a sport this school year, you are all good. If you haven't, contact your doctor and let them know you need a sport physical and usually they can get you in very quick to complete the physical and fill out the paperwork.
- Participation Fee must be paid by the beginning of the week of our first meet.
- Spread the word about track - EVERY ATHLETE at PV (that isn't in another Spring sport) should be doing track and field... this is where you get fast, jump high and far, work on footwork, get stronger, and every other skill that all other sports are based upon. Track will help every athlete get better at their main sport! If you want your other sports to be better, get your teammates to do track!
- Athletes and Parents - in place of a Parent Meeting, please look through this short slide show and review the policies and practices of PV Track and Field. Please note the fundraising information as well as the PV Invite help sign-ups. Then complete the final form to state you have read through the information presented.
