Good job at a great Region meet. Thanks to all those who came out and helped out with anything. And let's also give a quick shout-out to our State Champion Boys Volleyball team! Great job guys - especially Spencer, Brock, and Brodie! Now we shift our focus to State for this final week of track.

A couple announcements:

Quote of the Week -
"Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity, but doing it."
 - Greg Anderson
Maybe a weird quote at the end of the season and we have accomplished great things and are looking to even do better at State, but ultimately no matter what happens at State, this season has been amazing. The growth of each of you individually and as a team, seeing your joy in accomplishing PRs and things that you may not have even thought were possible, forming memories that will last a lifetime - these are the things that this is all about. So as we approach State, now is not a time to stress and be worried. You've done all the work you can do. No is a time to relax and have some fun! Let's go give it our best shot and make some more memories in the process.

We may have some spots for our top JV athletes (we will fill in all our spots - 4/event - and all our relays, so that may open a few events for our upper JV athletes). We would love to have the whole team here and supporting, and we will need help with hurdle crew and finish line and such. So each PV Track and Field athletes is EXPECTED to be at this meet even if you aren't competing (please be out to the track at 3:30). Please note that we are still planning Region spots; nothing on meettrax is finalized until we announce it as such.

BYU & Sentinel Invites - We got a few more qualifiers this weekend: Brodie in the shot, Kwade in the 200, the boys 4x100, and Seedar in the jav.  Also a huge congrats to TJ on breaking his SCHOOL RECORD once again in the discus (although it feels like we have seen this many times, and we have, don't take for granted how amazing a school record is!). Sorry I don't have to write much more today, but good job to many new PRs (we're looking at you thrower ladies) and medalists. Also, thanks so much for making the trip as stress-free as possible under weird hotel circumstances, and for just being great people that do great things especially when were in the community. Sentinel Meet Results. BYU Meet Results. Performance Chart (not updated yet... ahhh time!)

Quote of the Week -
"You have your best races when you don't put too much pressure on yourself to hit a certain time."
 - Ali Ince
Track and Field can be such a numbers driven sport - we have SQs to hit and school records, wind readings and individual and team sports. But when it ultimately comes down to it, we do our very best when we set all this aside and just COMPETE! That's what these last two weeks are about... competing. You can set aside times and all that other stuff, and just go out there and compete to your very best ability on that given day. And when we do that, our best marks will show up, State Qualifiers will happen, and our team and individual places will be what we want. All because we can now set everything else aside and just go COMPETE!
