Here we go... Time to start the season! We are all super excited for the beginning of the official season this week. Of course, those who are still involved in a winter sport, keep on doing great things and we'll see you when your season finishes up. Everyone one else, however, now is time to get out to practice. The 2021 Track and Field season is starting this week.
Those who haven't done the parent-athlete meeting (parents and athletes) need to please check out our Parent-Athlete Meeting slides. (This takes place of our having an in-person meeting, so please do it.)
A note for next year's XC runners, high-altitude camp has been scheduled for July 26-29 up at Jacob Lake near the Grand Canyon!
Participation Fee/Register My Athlete/Physical: GET THIS DONE! Registermyathlete is super easy and only takes a few minutes to do if you have your physical on file. If you don't have a physical from this year yet, you can still do the registermyathlete just also get your physical scheduled and taken care of ASAP. If you participated in track last year and haven't transferred your fees to another sport (like track last year to XC this year), you will be able to do that for this coming track season (track last year to track this year).
Schedule for the Week:
Distance Crew: Tues-Fri at PVHS; Monday - meet at 7:30a at PVHS to carpool to Suicial Tendencies trail, Tuesday - Thursday - regular practice schedule 3:00p, Tues & Thurs am - 6:15a weights and short run, Wed am - 6:15a (White, Black, Silver optional, no Fresh/Sophs), Friday - 6:15a (everyone) and 12:30p for those doubling that day, Saturday - group run at 8:00 (location TBA) - this week's workouts
We are planting seeds... Every day the things we do are the seeds we plant for a harvest to come. As we start up a new season, this idea means a lot. As a team (and individually), we have great opportunities this season. We can win titles, set new records, achieve personal records, create new and lasting friendships, set lifelong habits, and so much more. Each one of these ideas is started and built by the work you do each day. So as we start a new season this week, think of all the great things you would like to do and that you would like to help the team accomplish, and know that the work that is done now is the planting of the seeds that will grow into the accomplished harvest.
