2025 Schedule

We've decided to bump back our start date to Wednesday because of the teacher prep day. So...

Official start to the track and field season is 

Feb. 19th, 3:00p at the PVHS track.

Please get your RegisterMyAthlete complete by this time. Track is an amazing sport. We encourage every athlete at Pine View to come participate - we will make you better at your main sport! And we would love to see a big group of Panthers who are looking to get involved in a sport. From beginners to advanced, there is a place and event for everyone on track and field. Invite friends and let's get a big group out for what is going to be an awesome season! MSers, you can catch a bus up to the HS and change then come out to practice.

PARENT/ATHLETE MEETING: 

Because of the busy schedule at this time of year, our parent/athlete info meeting will be held online. Please take a few minutes to look through these slides. Hopefully many parents can sign up to help at the PV Invite. And definitely, reach out with any questions you may have.

NEW TRACK UNIFORM INFO:

We will be getting new track uniforms this season (and XC this next year). There is some important info you need to do ASAP with ordering your shorts (these will be individually ordered/purchased), so please go back to the previous post and check out the info for uniforms and ordering shorts. The tops will be here right about our first meets (we're crossing our fingers that they are here before!)

FUNDRAISING INFO for Mr./Miss PVHS:

Mr./Miss PVHS - Time to get ready for Mr./Miss PVHS and this year our recipients are the amazing Swapp family (the dad is a PV XC and Track alumni... so let's really get after it and help this family out!). We host two events for Track and XC: The Mr./Miss PVHS Fun Run and the Root Beer Mile (registration info for the Fun Run posted below).

Mr./Miss PVHS Fun Run - what we need everyone (all track and field team members) to do is get sponsors for the Fun Run t-shirts. You can get the sponsor info here or come get it from Coach Holt. We needed sponsors turned in by February 7th to get on the shirt, but anyone can still sponsor. You'll be amazed at how many business and people want to help out. Just ask! (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO TURN THE MONEY IN AND WHAT ACCOUNT TO TURN IT INTO)

This is also a great time to get donations for the team toward the PV Invite. So, share with your potential business sponsors that they can also help sponsor the greatest track meet in Utah as well. The money you raise toward sponsorship will help pay for our new uniforms!

Schedule for the Week:

• Distance Crew: PM - Tues-Thurs pm - 3:00p (everyone), Fri pm - after school / AM - Mon am - 8:00a (at PVHS), Tues am - on own, Weds am - 6:15a run (White & Black expected, Silver optional, No Fresh, all invited to yoga at 6:40a), Thurs am - 6:15a short run and weights (White, Black & Silver expected; Maroon optional), Fri am - 6:15a (we will discuss if we want to do main practice in am or pm), Saturday - 6:45 at PVMS / this week's workouts
• Sprint Crews and Jumpers: Wed-Thurs - 3:00p (everyone), Friday - afterschool
• Throwers: Wed-Thurs - 3:00p (everyone), Friday - afterschool

Upcoming Events: 

Wednesday 2/19 - Season Begins 3:00p at PVHS Track 

Saturday 2/22 - Mr. PVHS Fun Run every track and field athlete is expected to participate in this and we'd love your families to as well! This is our Mr. PVHS fundraiser, so get registered and get your family and friends to sign up here. We will also need some help with day of race stuff (t-shirts and registration, etc). 1 or 3 mile run/walk starts at 9:00a at Pine View Middle School

Monday 2/24 - Spike Night 7:15p at St. George Running Center - food, prizes, and a great time to get running shoes and spikes.

TBA - Fundraiser Event at the beginning of practice, we will taking some time to participate in a fundraiser for our team... To prep for this, start compiling a list of contacts that might be willing to help support our team - it's expected that each athlete will bring 25+ names (More info to come)

Tuesday 3/4 - JV @ Snow Canyon 2:00p. JV athletes. Bus info TBA

Fri-Sat 3/7-8 - Snow Canyon Invite (qualifying athletes). Bus info TBA
