More PV INVITE STUFF: This is obviously our invite. And it is big! We need all athletes to plan being there and helping. We also need parent help: We will need help in the concessions, and we will need help at the field events (you don't need any skill at these - there will be an experienced coach/official at each event - but we need help on Friday afternoon from 2:00p to event completion and Saturday from 8:00a to event completion. Parents, PLEASE use the sign ups on the Parent-Athlete meeting slide show above. We also need drink donations (assignments): Boys team and Senior girls - 20oz sports drink (gatorade/powerade...). Jr./Soph./Fresh. girls - water bottles (usually they are 16.9oz). Everyone bring what you can. The more, the better. We will sell them at the meet, and we will use any extras to take to other meets for our team.

Youth Track - This Track and Field Skills Camp for 6th-8th graders is designed to help our young athletes learn the skills and basics of a variety of track and field events in a fun and well-coached atmosphere. Skills camp will participate in their own workouts any days of the week from 3:00-4:30p. Spread the word to those who might want to participate.

Quote of the Week -
"Talent might get you in the door... but it's your attitude and work ethic that determines how long you stay there." - Allister McCaw
We have some very talented athletes on our team. We also have many that are just new to this track and field thing and our just trying to work it out. And we have all ranges in between. And I'd bet if you ask any coach of a successful program what they'd say about this range of athletes is that it doesn't matter how talented an athlete is, real success comes from someone's attitude and hard work. What really makes a team great is when everyone buys in together on the idea that each day if I go out and give it my best, with consistency and a good attitude, I am going to win the day, and I'm going to help my teammates win the day. And when you can get a bunch of people winning a bunch of days together, great things happen!

Alumni Report - Congrats to our alumni who competed at their respective college indoor conference championships. Tori did great for ISU and hit a new high jump pr in taking 4th place. Trey finished off a strong indoor season with a 6th place finish in the 5000 and an 8th place finish (from the slow heat) in the 3000 with big PRs in both to score points for UVU on their way to a conference championship. Colton had a strong season throwing for SUU; and although his conference meet wasn't what he wanted, he still hit great marks throughout the season. Look for all three to big contributors to their teams' outdoor season this spring along with Jessica up at Weber and Bridger at UVU.
