One last week of preseason. Great job to everyone coming out already; this will make all the difference in the world to how well you do this year. But it is definitely not too late to join. So get your friends and bring people with you. We are going to have two great teams this year and we want everyone to be a part of it. We need everyone to get your registermyathlete done, so PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR REGISTRATION, YOUR FEES, AND YOUR PARENT-ATHLETE MEETING SLIDES. Thanks everyone who helped with (running, donating, or betting) the Root Beer Mile. As always, it was a great event and we raised a lot of money for Adam.
Those who haven't done the parent-athlete meeting (parents and athletes) need to please check out our Parent-Athlete Meeting slides. (This takes place of our having an in-person meeting, so please do it.)
Participation Fee/Register My Athlete/Physical: This must be done in the next couple weeks or you won't be allowed to participate with the team any more! Registermyathlete is super easy and only takes a few minutes to do if you have your physical on file. If you don't have a physical from this year yet, you can still do the registermyathlete just also get your physical scheduled and taken care of ASAP.

Thought of the Week: "The courage to try something new makes me proud."
-Jane Pauley
Those of you coming out for the first time... proud of you! It's scary and a bit intimidating to try something and not be sure if you are going to be good at it or enjoy it. But you never know until you give it a shot. And you never know what awesome opportunities wait for you on the other side!
PV Track & Field communications: You already know about this blog since you are here. Info will be posted on here every week through the season (usually updated Sunday afternoon). If you aren't receiving our track text messages, text the code @trackprs2 to 81010 to be added to our list.
PLEASE SHARE THIS INFO WITH ANYONE/EVERYONE THAT YOU THINK MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN TRACK - especially Freshmen. Even if you think they are on the texts or might look at this blog, share with them the link so they for sure know that things are starting up.
Youth Club Info: We are starting up our MS Developmental Track and Field Clinic this week. This group meets Monday and Thursday at 3:00a-4:15('ish) and is open to all PV students in 6th-8th grades. We will focus on each different track and field events and give athletes an opportunity to work with the coaches of each specialty to see what our middle school athletes may want to pursue. We will meet throughout the spring and participate and host multiple track meets.
Race Updates: Congrats to Marcus and Nic on competing in the Utah Track Coaches Indoor State Meet. Nic did well for his first indoor meet and Marcus defended his State Titles with wins in both the 60m and 200m! Also congrats to alumni Alli Baker on setting a new college PR in the 800m at this week's Husky Invite up in Seattle.
