January Info

Hope everyone had an amazing holiday break! Now it's time to get to work. January and early February are our winter training months - nothing is required, but it is a key time for getting into shape and setting up a season where you (and our team) can reach goals. So, we highly encourage everyone to be coming out to practice with consistency - and as we've always said, those doing a winter sport, keep doing great and we'll see you when you're done.

PV Track & Field communications: If you aren't receiving our track text messages, text the code @trackprs2 to 81010 to be added to our list. 

Schedule for the Week (Jan 3-8):
  • Distance Crew: Mon-Weds am - 8:00a (everyone) at Sullivan Park, Thurs-Fri afternoon - (everyone) after school 3:00p (Thurs) and 12:45p (Fri); Saturday - group run 8:00a meet on the Dam Rd- this week's workouts
  • Sprint Crews and Jumpers: nothing this week
  • Throwers: nothing this week
Schedule for the Week (Jan 10-15, Jan 17-22, and 24-29):
  • Distance Crew: Mon-Fri afternoon - (everyone) after school 3:00p (Thurs) and 12:45p (Fri); Saturday - group run 8:00a location TBA- this week's workouts; Tues & Thurs am (starting the 18th and 20th) - am weights and recovery run
  • Sprint Crews and Jumpers: Mon, Weds, Fri - 3:00p (Mon, Weds) and 12:45p (Fri)
  • Throwers:  schedule will be announced
Announcements:
2021-'22 Physicals - If you haven't had a physical for this school year (so if you haven't participated in a sport yet this year), you need to get that taken care of ASAP
 

Participation Fee - needs to be paid online or at the finance office.

Also take a look at the 2022 schedule and get conflicts worked out, work off, vacations scheduled and all that kind of stuff. 

And finally recruiting... WE NEED YOUR FRIENDS TO COME OUT AND JOIN US! We need athletes for our track team and they will come be part of it if you invite them and bring them along. Here at the beginning of the season (when we are all just working on getting in shape) is the best time to get people to join us. Invite everyone: those who need a friend, those who want to be better at their main sport (every athlete will benefit from being part of the track and field team), those who want to get faster and stronger, those who would bring a fun positive attitude to our team; anyone you can think of.
