Week of Mar. 2-7

We are in full season mode. Practices are rolling and meets start next week. And even our track will be finished up by the end of the week! This is our final week to join the team. So if you know of anyone who might like to be part of our amazing program, let's get them out this week. All Participation Fees, Registermyathlete registrations, and Physicals need to be taken care of by FRIDAY! Also, it would be helpful to look through your calendars and the meet schedule to plan out any conflicts and talk to coaches about them.

If you have yet to check out the Parent-Athlete Meeting info, please hit the link and look through the slides (both parents and athletes); we do need record of who has looked through the info, so fill out the form at the end. And parents, also sign up to help at the PV Invite if you can.

Schedule for the Week:
Everyone:
Monday - Friday - regular practice schedule 3:00p-5:00p *We will have a short team meeting at 3:00p in the PVHS lecture hall on Monday*
Saturday - talk to event coach for practice schedule
Tuesday & Thursday - weights at 6:15a-7:00a for anyone who isn't lifting (such as distance runners, maybe some sprinters)

Monday - 5:45a long run - (Levels 2 and 3 required) *Where white or bright*
Wednesday & Friday - 6:15a for distance runners Levels 2&3 (no Fresh or Soph on Wed, no Fresh on Fri); yoga at 6:45a for everyone on Friday
Saturday - organize your own group run or on your own

Youngsters: Monday and Thursdays 3:00-4:30.

PV Invite: Our track meet is coming up at the end of the month, but it will get here way sooner than we think. We need help with a few things: athletes need to bring drinks to sell at concessions - boys: gatorade 20 oz. size, girls: water: 16.9 oz (bring as many as you can in your situation, you can bring these in anytime this month); Sponsor (see below) - we need everyone to get their sponsors in by next week (its a great way to get some of your fees paid); Parent help - we always need some help with concessions and running the meet; let us know through the form on the Parent-Athlete Meeting if you can help out.

Fundraising/Sponsors: You can find sponsor papers over on the right column of this blog. If you'd like some help with paying your participation fees, hotel fees, uniform, spirit pack and so on, go get some sponsors to help you out. *IMPORTANT INFO* with each sponsor, we need $25 turned into the finance office to put their name onto the invite t-shirt and website and stuff. The rest of their donation can go to you for TRACK. However, anything that you turn in to the school goes toward the whole team and can't get applied just to your fees. So make sure you keep everything but $25 from each sponsor and then you can take that "extra" money in to the finance office and pay the fee yourself (or use for whatever other TRACK things you need). If you have questions, please talk to Coach Holt first. Sponsors need to be turned in by March 8th to get on PV Invite shirts.

Participation Fee/Register My Athlete/Physical: Let's get these all taken care of soon. Registermyathlete is super easy and only takes a few minutes to do if you have your physical on file. If you don't have a physical from this year yet, you can still do the registermyathlete just also get your physical scheduled and taken care of ASAP. MUST BE COMPLETE BY MARCH 6th.

Alumni Update: We'll just give a quick shout-out to our Panthers competing at the next level who just finished up their indoor seasons - Rylee at UVU, Josie who ran the 3K for SUU at indoor conference, and Carson who ran the indoor 3K and 5K at indoor conference for Weber.

Thought of the Week: "Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them and it will change your life."
-Amy Poehler
Think about it a bit... we are going to talk about it Monday.
