March 28 - April 2

Just another huge thanks to everyone in pulling all the everything together for the Invite: Parents and family - your help with concession, the coaches' dinner (which was a huge hit!), those who helped at the timing both, and those who ran events; Athletes - your work at the field events, helping with the hurdles, moving blocks, doing the finish shoot, clean up, announcing,, bringing gatorades, timing; and all the other stuff that was needed was great. Although the meet was huge (1496 athletes and nearly 3000 participations) we pulled it off with only a few hiccups and with many, many compliments. Now on to the next order of business... continuing to develop our team and our own selves to be the best we can be this year and beyond.

Thought of the Week: "What keeps your daily runs from bein monotonous? How do you keep from getting too down during injuries? How can I hold myself responsible during tough workouts? Who is there to make me feel like what I'm doing is worthwhile? TEAMMATES. 100% TEAMMATES."
-@hansonsrun
Why do we do anything we do? We enjoy being around others who are also doing it and they help us be our best selves. Teammates are what it is all about. Keep doing the things that make you a great teammate and work to cut out those things that distract you from being a great teammate. For each of us those are different things - some might be great at getting to practice, others at getting out and cheering teammates on. Yet others may struggle at those very same things. Together we can accentuate the good and work toward eliminating the struggles. Then, together, we can achieve what we never thought possible.

Check out the spring schedule if you haven't yet.

Youth Club Info: Our MS Developmental Track and Field Clinic is going strong. This group meets Monday and Thursday at 3:00a-4:15('ish) and is open to all PV students in 6th-8th grades. We will focus on each different track and field event and give athletes an opportunity to work with the coaches of each specialty to see what our middle school athletes may want to pursue. We will meet throughout the spring and participate and host multiple track meets.
