Week of Jan. 6-11

Let's get this thing started... Welcome to the 2020 PVHS Track and Field Season. We are looking forward to a great year and it starts up this week. We invite everyone (who isn't doing a winter sport) to come out to the track Monday after school. We will start getting into shape and prepping for the season. The best thing you can do (besides show up yourself) is bring a friend with you!
Those of you participating in a winter sport, keep up the hard work and have a great season; we'll see you when you get done.

Two videos of some drills we will be incorporating - practice and learn how to do them correctly
Quick Feet Drills
Wall Sprints

Schedule for the Week:
Monday - practice begins!
Tuesday - Friday - regular practice schedule 3:00p-5:00p
Saturday - talk to event coach for practice schedule

Youngsters: Practice for our 6th-8th grade developmental camp will start in toward the end of February. Until then, our Youngsters can come out with the HS if parents are okay with it.

Thought of the Week: "Championships aren't won on game day. They are won long before when a team fully commits and continually invests all the hard work necessary to win."
-Jeff Janssen
At the beginning of a season, there is always a lot of hope about how great the season can be. I have no doubt that we are the same way... what lies ahead: championships?, pr's?, state qualifiers?, state records?, And how about friendships?, growth?, leadership? All these great things are possible for us and that is what makes the beginning of a journey exciting. However, none of things things happen without a full commitment to the team. When we sit as a team and discuss our goals, know that whatever those goals and targets may be, the only way to achieve them will be having a full team that fully commits to each other. And when that commitment happens, great things happen!
*LET'S GO HAVE A GREAT YEAR*
