BYU Invite Info:
Here is the qualifying info for BYU Invite - BYU INFO. This year we are going to BYU instead of Sentinel so we can get on the track/facility that will be hosting State (very few of you have ever run there). To qualify for this meet, you must hit the required mark. However, another requirement is that we only have 25 entries. This means that even if you hit a mark, you are not guaranteed a spot at the meet. We will try our best to get everyone in a race who qualifies, but to ensure your spot keep pushing for improvements.

Thought of the Week: "I don't want to put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the more you achieve."
-Michael Phelps
I've heard he was pretty good, I guess. It is interesting how many people who are at the absolute top of their game/profession share this same idea about no limits. From Kipchoge - "No human is limited" - to Phelps, so many people who accomplish amazing things have been able to release the idea of limits from their minds to some degree. Think of what Coach Pete talked about last week and how when we only see the positive possibilities, when can use our anxiety to fuel us to greatness by getting out of our own ways and letting the mind and body enter the flow state (the white zone). Take a few minutes and evaluate how you do in removing limits - do you struggle with limiting yourself? how can you address this and get out of your own way? are there others around you who could help support/guide you through this? what do you see possible for yourself if you remove these limits? Work on it... and go for it!

Check out the spring schedule if you haven't yet.

Youth Club Info: Our MS Developmental Track and Field Clinic is going strong. This group meets Monday and Thursday at 3:00a-4:15('ish) and is open to all PV students in 6th-8th grades. We will focus on each different track and field event and give athletes an opportunity to work with the coaches of each specialty to see what our middle school athletes may want to pursue. We will meet throughout the spring and participate and host multiple track meets. (meet schedule can be found by clicking schedule link in the above paragraph and scrolling through to the Youth schedule.)
